My son Ian loves this book, at least for this month...probably because he practically has is memorized. Basically, there's not much to it, it goes through a series of animals of different colors.
Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?
I See a Yellow Duck Looking At Me.
(You Turn The Page)
Yellow Duck Yellow Duck What Do You See?
I See A Green Frog Looking At Me.
Get the idea? Isn't parenthood fun?
But it mesmerizes him in a way that "Good Night Moon" used to. Ah, another fun one.
Anyway, this morning, while I was getting ready, he was lying on the floor with his baby sister, and just like I read him the book every night, he was trying to read it to her and show her the pictures. Moments like that are pretty endearing. One minute he is a little whirling dervish, and the next, he is a gentle big brother. I just need to make sure to capture those couple minutes in my heart because they're gone in a flash...
