My Tests are a Little Different

Bryan had a business conference in Sonoma on Friday, so we called our sitter for an overnight stay and I joined him at the Fairmont. Very nice, but quick trip. The hotel is great, and it's even better when the company pays for the room! We had a chance to have dinner alone and take in a few wineries the next day.

So, we were goofing around talking that morning in bed, and I was complaining about something. (I don't want to give the gist of the conversation right now as I want to see if you all know what I did not) Anyhow, I don't know how this "test" joke escaped me in all my dealings with men in business and life, but all I want to ask is two questions:

(This is a bit more risque than Mary Mia's trivia I guess, but a test nonetheless!)

Ladies

(1) Do you know what the pencil test is? (in relation to breast size)

Is this something that I just didn't know?

Or, is this like an inside man joke?

So, next, if you go up to your husband and ask him about the female secretary, co-worker that you know if attractive (or not..it doesn't matter) and say:

(2) Does Suzy pass the pencil test?

And if he plays stupid, Say, "in relation to breast size?"

Report Back.

Wow, that brings back some Judy Blume-type memories... Yeah, I learned from the gals back in grade school that if your boobs could hold up a pencil underneath without dropping it, that they were big enough to warrant your first bra. I think I used the test as evidence to support (no pun intended) my first bra purchase in sixth or so grade. I have not heard or thought of that since junior high school, and never heard of it in relation to sizing-up big grown-up racks! Ladies, get yer pencils out... Silly Bryan!!

I am familiar with the pencil test. It is somthing which I actually stumbled upon in my High School Gym locker room. It was immediatly clear that I needn't participate in the good times. Wow high school sucked.

My husband chuckled and claimed ignorance.

very funny...you never heard of that!!!

I don't need to ask Sean - that's a can of worms I don't want to open. Either he'll say no or he'll want me to show him.

I just learned about the "pencil test" this weekend! Apparently, there was a show on Cable titled, Breasts. Did your hubby watch that? Well, my Tivo just happened to have recorded it...don't know how that happened!? There was a woman on there who described the pencil test as a test to see if your boobs are too droopy. If a pencil stays underneath without falling out, you fail the pencil test!

Wait, is the pencil test to test size or (um) the effects of gravity on your previously perky rack? I can't remember. Help! Because you know there is NO WAY I'm asking Rod.
