Who Needs A Fancy Pool?

This is all it takes to make a 3 year old happy--a $5.00 pool. Why spend $40,000 to build a big one?

This is where I am a bitch and say, "HA HA" to your 40k estimate... that's what THEY told us too...

cute photos, Jen... hopefully you have a camera in one hand and a vodka tonic in the other?

Every summer when we lived back east, I would search and search for the biggest, coolest inflatable pool for my kids. When my husband said we were moving to San Diego, I said, "OK, but only if we have an inground pool in our back yard!" We had one built right after we moved in. Our estimates ranged from around 30k to 60k!! (Not including the concrete decking that goes around the pool!) I wonder why they are so expensive? Especially here in CA?!

No joke. The pool may be 40k but then you have to figure in the fence and landscaping. Our neighbors are getting one - thank God we are moving - and he has to pay for a crane to come and move their wooden playset and shed. It adds up! You go! We have plastic too and I'm proud! :) Amy

In the Texas heat that is all it takes to make a 41 year old happy as well!!! Well, that and a Mojito.

cracked me up - especially since more than 1/2 the water is OUTSIDE the pool and on your daughter, the lawn, the sidewalk, etc. ahhhhh, to be 3 again....maybe i'll just take a long bath to remember...
